Unpredictable. That's what this tournament is all about, that's what makes us all tune in for selection Sunday, that's what keeps us as fans coming back year after year.
This has been a very interesting final two weekends of games. The 3rd and 4th rounds we saw some of the closest finishes for almost every game. Including, all four number 1 seeds being eliminated before the final four teams, all of the typical big named schools that you hate, are all out. You had a number 11 seed team that almost everyone was pulling for in the Final Four this weekend. If you were lucky enough to get only one of your teams into the final four, consider yourself about average. Only one person in this years pool, out of 391 pick sheets had 3 correct picks for the final four teams. If you had 2 correct teams in the final four, you would have been one out of seven people with that feat. The rest of us had one correct pick or we were completely done for the year. Only 5 people correctly selected Florida Gators to win it all. Only 5 people had UCLA Bruins to play in the Championship game. So, only 10 people total out of 391 even had a chance to score points in the final game of the tournament.

Two rounds of games have completed. Sixteen teams remain. Next weekend we drop to our Final Four teams. I am excited for next weekend. I will be attending the Minneapolis regional
games. Friday I'll see Villanova vs Boston College and Florida vs Georgetown. I'll get plenty of photos and post some of the good ones to this site.
Now some information on this years office pool. We ended up with a total of 391 pick sheets for 2006. Slightly down from last years pool with 447 pick sheets. The best first round picks was 26 correct out of 32 games. For the second round of games, the best was 12 correct games picked out of 16 games played. A total of 19 people shared this honor.
Let's breakdown the rest of the final 16 teams and how many pick sheets correctly picked them to win their second round game and advance to the sweet sixteen.
