4.01.2002 | maryland vs indiana
Despite the final score, it was a very close game. Indiana controled the tempo of the game after the first 5 or 6 minutes passed. I don't know how many times I have seen a team down in points for most of the game work hard, very hard at getting back into the game. They tie the score, or take the lead briefly as Indiana did tonight, then just fall off the face of the earth. It could be they spent so much energy getting back into it that once they were there they just couldn't keep it going. Lost focus or they needed another goal to keep that pace.

Hats off to Maryland with their well deserved victory. Watching them play Kansas during the first five minutes of that game....goodness what a mess they were. Then they got into their game plan and never looked back. I tell you one thing, Maryland is SO quick with their hands, very good anticipation of the ball. It's no wonder they won the National Title this year. congrats!

All of the office pool stats have been updated. Congradulations goes to Jesse Fagerhaugh of Crockett, California. With a score of 159 points you are the 2002 OfficePool64.com's top bragger!

The 2002 Top Ten Braggers are as follows:
1. Jesse Fagerhaugh
2. Darren Olson
3. Walker Vance
4. Brandon Rooney
5. Chris Brown
6. Heradio Lopez
7. Jason Johns
8. Kevin Drennen
9. Jim Gialanella
10. Melissa Cuddihy

To see the final standings you'll have to click the current standings menu!

Thank you to everyone who participated and I'll see you next year!

2.25.2002 | 4 teams - 3 games
How bout them games over the weekend! Some were very good and very intense till the end. I have all the officepool stats updated and have added the tournament scenarios now. There are only 8 ways the National Title can end up and I have the results on how you will do based on who wins next weekend.

Indiana over Maryland
Maryland over Indiana
Indiana over Kansas
Kansas over Indiana
Oklahoma over Maryland
Maryland over Oklahoma
Oklahoma over Kansas
Kansas over Oklahoma

2.22.2002 | eight teams remain strong
At this point, I wonder if there will be any number 1 seeds that make it to the final game. There are so many teams that are on a hot streak, you just can't count them out. UConn, Kent State, Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon all are playing very well to this point. These last game will be fun to watch.

How many out of 597 people in the pool who picked:
Indiana to win over Duke: 7
Missouri to win over UCLA: 19
Kent State to win over Pittsburgh: 33

That side of the bracket is not looking good for most everyone who played in an office pool this year. The other side still looks good for most of you. Some only have one or two teams that can still score points for you.

Now that only 8 teams remain, I've add the last item to the office pool menu, player scenarios. This feature will tell you what the best you can finish is and what the worst you can finish. It will also tell you exactly what 4 teams you need in the finals in order to win.

3.21.2002 | round three has begun
My son [age 3] and daughter [age 1] were enjoying the Duke-Indiana game last night. It was wifey's night out so I was home and was in charge of putting the kids to bed. The score was so close and Indiana was within reach of a tie, I just had to wait and see the outcome. When Jason Williams was fouled after making the 3-point shot to bring Duke within 1 point of a tie I had to check to make sure that wasn't Christian Laettner out there in that uniform. I loved the reaction Coach Davis [Inidana] had when the foul was made. I have not see a reaction as good as that was from a coach in a long time. Of course his reaction when Indiana won was just as good.

With that loss by Duke, it puts a lot of people who were out of their office pool back into the running. Who would have figured on Indiana vs Kent State for the regional final? I'll have to look but I know there is not many who even picked Indiana or Kent State to make it to the last 8 teams.

3.19.2002 | still in your pool
The funnest part about going into work today was the excitment everyone had from watching all the games. I wish I would have picked Southern Illinois. I wish I wouldn't have picked Michigan State. Heck, the guy who is in first in my friendly work pool wishes he hadn't picked Gonzaga and Mississippi State in the final game [ouch].

Let's take a look at this websites office pool. Out of 597 entries, no one correctly picked every game to this point. In the first round, Rocky Diffendaffer selected 28 games correctly. Congrats! In the second round, Jesse Fagerhaugh & Chris Patrone both correctly selected 13 games out of 16. Outstanding!

86 people correctly selected Kent State to advance to the remaing 16 teams. 81 people select UCLA to advance. Yet only 47 out of 597 people selected Southern Illinois to be one of the final 16 teams. I had them winning over Texas Tech, but losing in the 2nd round. Will they be able to keep it going over UConn? From the first round, 43 people actually thought Wyoming would defeat Gonzaga! Who would have thunk?! Not me.

Article on Southern Illinois and thier regular season stats. They were tied with Creighton with the best record in the Missouri Valley Conference. Another article on the Salukis.

3.18.2002 | sixteen teams remain
48 games have been played and 16 teams remain. What a awesome last four days of college basketball.

I've updated the all of the officepool stats. Use that menu on the left to find your name and see how well you are doing. Can't find your name? Hit "CTRL + F" and it'll pop up a box for you to search for your name.

3.17.2002 | eight of sixteen spots remain
I've added the current officepool standing to the site. I'll be adding everyones pick sheets after the last game is played on Sunday. It'll be a very large update and I only want to do it once per weekend.

The games so far have been unpredictable for the most part. Few upsets that I never saw coming or even thought possible: Kent State beating Alabama! With an MAC conference record of 17-1 it sure was silly to not pick them. They'll either face California or Pittsburgh next weekend.

The Duke - Notre Dame match up was a lot closer than the final score indicates. The Irish is down by two points with a minute to play, they miss a shot, Duke takes it down and scores, ND brings it back and shoots a bad three-point shot that misses, Duke takes it down and scores. Thats it, game over, it looks like a blowout! When you score 6 points in the last six minutes and allow your apponent to score 20 points, you do not deserve a victory. Tisk Tisk!

3.16.2002 | round two begins today
That was a wild first round of games. I do believe there were a few more upsets this year than last if I recall correctly. However, I was upset with a few of the games out comes. USC losing to UNC Willimngton was a crusher for me. When I first made out my pick sheet, I was favoring Willimington, then I remembered USC has played Duke rather well so I switched my mind and went with Duke losing to USC. I actually thought USC was done for early in the second half so I went outside to shovel the 10 inches of snow that had fallen. I came back in to see what the scores were and the game was in overtime! What a break that was for me I thought....well, it was for not. Congrats to Willimgton on their victory.

If for some odd chance you can't find the scores of some games, here are Thursday's scores and Friday's scores.

This years office pool I pulled in around 600 entries which is a bit down from last years at 850 and the year before 1100 entries. My guess is all of the competition. Look how many other pools that I have listed, 30 plus. That is not a complete list by any means. I have expanded my site a bit too. If you've been here in the past, this was an office pool site and that was it. Now I provide links to help with picks so it does bring people away from the site. I will be adding information from my past office pools that I have run. It will include what the website looked like, how many people entered, who won, and much more. You'll have to wait until this tournament is over for that part of the site to come online.

Today's games [Saturday] there should be a few close ones in here and who knows what the outcome will be. UNC-Wilmington vs Indiana: should be a close one. Kentucky vs Tulsa: Tulsa is hot yet so is Kentucky. Ohio State vs Missouri: Ohio State struggled a bit last game.

Oh yeah, before I forget....I've changed the voting poll on the message board. The question I've posted: Which of the #1 seeds will lose first? Get your vote in and be counted.

3.15.2002 | round one has completed
site update coming soon and the office pool standings will be posted AFTER round 2 has completed.

3.13.2002 | picks are due by tip off
This is it, today is tip off day for the 2002 tournament. I have yet to complete my picks, which always seams to be the case. I put in all the time with the site and put off that one main thing this site is about....office pool picks! Ain't it great!

When the games do begin, there are a few sites that you can watch the games from while you work. finalfour.net is probably your best bet. With SportsLine.com or ESPN as your other choices. Who are you kidding? Your gonna peak at the scores while at work admit it!

Your last chance to enter the OfficePool64.com contest

Give your opinion on who'll be this years champions on the message board.

I'll post the first update after the first round has completed Friday night and then again after Sunday's have completed. If you still need some help with your picks, scroll down to the past couple days for links to some helpful sites.

Good luck to everyone this year!

3.13.2002 | siena defeats alcorn state
Enter OfficePool64.com's 2002 contest

Give your opinion on who'll be this years champions on the message board.

I've been looking at my website stats for the week so far. I'm really down on my hit count. My guess is the competition and so many sites now that are offering these contests. Geez, look at how many office pools that I have listed. If you plan on entering a lot of these contests, you'll have to go to iSportsLink. They have a "Bracket Tracker" which is a nifty chart for you to fill out that will keep track of all of the pools that you have entered.

I did find a new site that I have added to my list of helpful sites called BestBallers.com. Another quality looking site and they run a pool and have some people who write articles for their site and a few more goodies.

Siena is now the official 64th team for the tournament. They have a tough challenge now with Maryland as their next match up.

If you want to do some reading on Arizona Wildcats read this. Of course you'll find one for Kansas Jayhawks here. How bout one for the underdog teams? There is one for Winthrop Eagles!

Need more help with your picks? Here is one from Michael Lazarus, FOX Sports. It looks to be general knowledge in making picks, but good information. Mike DeCourcy gives his take on this years tournament, he's going with Maryland.

3.12.2002 | lots happening this week
I found another office pool for you all to enter, called Veronica Palace. Their site is very professional looking and they offer more than just an office pool. Give em a look!

Found a great article by Dan Wetzel, SportsLine.com on why Oklahoma could be the tournament champions. Dennis Dodd believes you can't go wrong with picking Duke. Anthony Gimino, SportsLine.com has some general information on helping you in your selections. This guy - this guy - and this guy all have their pick sheets online. How's that for a great sentence?

Here is a quick stats page for all of the teams in the tournament. Who's hot and Who's not? Read this article by Dan Shanoff, ESPN.

For my friend Wedge, an article on UConn for you to read! I expect you to help get the message board going now :)

Here are more great opinions on all of the teams in the tournament. A pretty decent stats matchup page from CNNSI. Yet another site from FansOnly.com with gobs of info. They have done a great job with there site and the information they provide.

3.11.2002 | helpful sites for you
I have been select for the "Site Of The Week" on ShortArmGuy.com's website. He calls me a "crazed fan"....perhaps!

There is so much happening this week before the tournament starts. I'm finding some sites that are very helpful in helping you select your winning teams. Let's start with CBS SportsLine.com site. They break down each team plus tons more. Of course when the games do begin you can watch the game stats live from this site. This site lists every conference tournament winner. See who is on the winning streak.

Jeff Sagarin has his rankings updated through March 10th. Mike Greenfield's Power Rankings are updated as well through March 10th. If you wanna compare 2 teams and how they compare to each other, give Kent Gilley's 64teams.com a try. Has a great pulldown script that is quite impressive.

This page from ESPN has some valuable information. I believe this is ESPN's tournament page, it's not really clear, but they have a bunch of information about this years tourney. USA Today has round one game match ups that may be helpful.

Thats all for now. I'll post more when I find them.

3.10.2002 | welcome to selection sunday
6:00 Eastern [5:00 Central] the pairings will be announced. I'll update my printable bracket and bring OfficePool64.com's contest online later in the evening. I'll be providing as many links as I can locate to help you select your picks.

Quite a few teams received automatic bids today with wins in their conference tournaments. Xavier - Kent State - Hawaii - Alcorn State - Boston U - Montana - Hampton - McNeese State - Cincinnati - UConn - Pennsylvania - Arizona - Holy Cross - San Diego State - . For a complete list of who has earned an automatic bid, visit 64teams.com

The last game you'll see before the teams are announced will be Ohio State vs Iowa. Luke Recker, guard for the Hawkeyes is on a terror. I watched Thursday's game and most of Saturday's game and his performance has been incredible. The last second lay-up he made with a few seconds remaining was a jaw dropper. If Iowa is to win it's second conference tournament in a row, they'll be defeating three of the four 1st placed regular season champs.

Found another game you can play, it's called Basketball Shoot Out. Anyone for a game of darts? Been having trouble spinning a pen in your fingers? The Art Of Pen Spinning site will give you all the help you need.

3.09.2002 | texas tech vs kansas
One word comes to mind tonight: ISHY! No, it's not because the Minnesota Gophers lost big time to Illinois tonight. If you have Minnesota on your "bubble chart" scratch them off. They'll be singing the NIT theme song after tonight performance. The reason I say ISHY is the weather we are having. It's 31.5 degrees outside, it's raining, there is thunder and lightning and this is winter, Minnesota winter! We have a half-inch of rain, or partly frozen rain/slush collecting outside with no place to go and my lights keep flickering every now and then. Icky!

If Bobby Knight is able to lead Texas Tech into a victory over Kansas, I'll forget about all of the eye rolling that I did every time Indiana made it to the field of 64 when I thought they were not deserving. It's still odd to me seeing Bobby Knight not in his normal Indiana dress attire.

I'm not a real big Dick Vitale fan, but he does have a good article this week on picking the field. Who he believes will be seeded, give it a look.

Mike DeCourcy answers five tough questions. You have got to read this article. Daryle Carlson, a fan letter from SportingNews.com writes a great article on getting rid of the automatic bids.

Found this really cool game to play, it's called PegBall, Very addicting! This is quite humorous, got a few snickers out of it. This game called collapse is fun, but kind of slow. Here is a new twist to the classic "wash me" found on dirty automobiles. Tired of all those pop ads? This site has a list of "opt out" links.

3.08.2002 | second week of survivor
This week on Survivor: Patrica becomes the second person voted off the island. She becomes the second from the Maraamu tribe to be voted off. Their big deal was everyone in each tribe had to eat this really stinky rotting fish of some sort. Couple came close to vomiting on television. Yuck! I guess the smell was pretty bad, I wonder how bad it was.

My Golden Gophers had a very easy time with Penn State tonight. Winning by 24 points and moving on to play Illinois tonight for a rematch from last Sunday's game. If they play like they did last week and don't have a total collapse like they did last Sunday, they should be in good shape to advance. One site that has Minnesota back on the maybe list is 64teams.com Michigan and Iowa were the other Big Ten teams advancing to Friday's games.

Check out who is listed for the number one seeds now....Oklahoma! But he still has Minnesota off the list! Duke and Maryland for the ACC conference finals? This guy thinks so. Wanna know who could play spoiler in the conference tournaments this week?

I've added this years printable bracket to the site now. Of course there are no teams on it, duh! Also there are now four, count em, four votes on the message board poll. All right! I admit it, one of them is mine, so three votes!

3.07.2002 | seven more days till tip off
I've started a message board for everyone to talk about the tournament or the conferenece tournaments. If you have any links that you feel should be posted related to the basketball. There also is a poll that you can vote on. You'll have to create an account to leave messages, but you only have to do it once.

Central Connecticut earns it way to the National Championship tonight with a 78-71 victory over Quinnipiac. It's their 2nd trip in 3 years.

So who has a bid into the tournament so far? Kent Gilley has his list updated as of today with who's on the bubble and who most likely will be in there. Joe Lundardi gives his insight on the teams on the bubble. While most are writing my favorite team, the Minnesota Gophers off of the bubble chart, Andy Katz believes with a couple of wins in the Big Ten Championship they'll most likely earn a bid. Gophers do have the Big Ten Freshman of the year....he will be fun to watch in the up coming years.

Have an extra two million dollars burning a hole in your pocket? Why you could exploit a cripple. He's known by Minnesota Timberwolves guard Terrell Brandon and perhaps Governor Jesse Ventura. Visit shortarmguy.com's website for the details. His site is presently hosted on Tripod.com, let's see if we can use up all his bandwidth for the month!

3.06.2002 | 3 more claim their spot
18th ranked Western Kentucky wins it's 18th game in a row tonight and gets an invite into the National Tournament. Valparaiso wins the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament. In overtime, Illinois-Chicago defeats Layola for the Horizon Tournament. 54 spots remain.

Here is a great article on the Mondays game with Gonzaga, a fan favorite. Here are some conference tournament previews you can read: Big 10 - Big 12 - ACC - SEC - Big East - Atlantic 10 - Pac 10 - C-USA - Mountain West

Here is a great science project you may want to try. Kids, have your parents help with this. Don't know if this is worth it or not, I have not tried it, yet it sounds like it may be an interesting thing to try. March 2nd I brought you Freestyle-Walking, now there is a new craze: EXTREME IRONING!!! Lock the doors!

3.05.2002 | selection sunday is close
Not sure if I should brag here, but I've updated the links for additional office pools. I'm now listing 34 pools to play in, of course besides this one.

All the other major polls have the top 7 teams all the same, however Sportsline Top 25 has Maryland atop the list. Thought that was quite interesting this week.

Not all the games have completed as of this writing, but here is a link from earlier in the day that has the match ups for the games that may be of some use. At the moment, Gonzaga is in the lead by 2 points with 8:48 remaining to play. A few additional teams have made received a bid to the National Tournament. Siena Saints - Creighton Bluejays - UMC Wilmington Seahawks

While we wait for Selection Sunday, why not try you skill and see how fast you can spank the monkey?

3.04.2002 | four teams claim big ten title
With Illinois sneaking in a win over Minnesota, they claim their share of the Big Ten Title. Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio State are the other three teams. Hats off to Illinois, they ended the game on a 10-0 run. Minnesota was a bubble team on some lists as it is, with this loss and a poor showing in the conference tournament and they'll be headed to the NIT.

Davidson wins their conference tournament over Furman and is headed to the National Title. While Kansas Jayhawks go 16-0 and secure their number 1 seed. Mike DeCourcy, SportingNews.com gives his insite on the Jayhawks feat.
Here is a link for all of today's conference tournament action.

With the new Coaches Poll out, it has Oklahoma and Gonzaga moving up a notch and Cincy and Alabama dropping down.

Kent Gilley's On The Bubble chart is updated. It lists who is in, who's a lock, and who's on the bubble with additional information.

3.03.2002 | big weekend in college hoops
I don't mean to brag about the Oklahoma Sooners, but you have got to read this article from the Sporting News. When I saw the headline, my Mello Yellow pop came out my nose! It's an article on why the Sooners are the best choice for the fourth number one seed like I have been saying for the past week. All right, it's a bunch of letters from the Oklahoma fans posted on their site. I'm not alone now!

Oregon Ducks beat UCLA for the PAC-10 title. Ranked 13th in the nation, they claim the title for the first time since 1939. Kentucky and Florida played a great game. Watched most of it and saw the Wildcats come back to win it in the end.

Congrats to Florida Atlantic, Murry State, and Winthrop. They won their conference tournaments to earn automatic bids into the field of 64.

No, I'm not the one who has bid on it, but there may still be time left depending on when you read this. I work in the computer field, I have never seen a computer case that is as awesome as this one is. It's just impressive! Now, this cannot be for real? Can it? Makes me wanna try it to find out. These are WAY cool! More games to keep you busy.

3.02.2002 | another loss for duke
I gave them a mention in yesterday's update and Virginia helps to keep their bid alive by going on a 17-0 run to defeat the Duke Blue Devils. Cincinnati loses to Louisville Cardinals in a nail biter. Two of the top teams took a hit. What does this do to their stay as the number one seed. Or are they still deserving of that honor? This does raise the chances of Oklahoma getting a number one seed. hummm?

Found an interesting article on why the RPI rating isn't all it's cracked up to be. For some conference tournament updates, you can read this.

Ryan McGhee breaks down a few teams in his latest column. He has also released his 2002 Crystal Ball Awards; they are the awards given out at the end of the season.

This just cracks me up!

3.01.2002 | march has arived
My favorite show is back on the air, Survivor started it's fourth run. Don't know what it is about the show, but it is very enjoyable to watch. Perhaps it's not something that was totally written out like most of the shows on TV. Who knows, I can't wait till the next episode. My only question is what happens during the tournament on Thursdays? I really got a kick outta the areas that each tribe got their water from. One tribe had this awesome waterfall and the other had this area with rocks and water collecting there. It should be a very scenic series.

Found a great pool site. Sports Office Pools runs a couple of games you can play in. They have a very easy layout and the site looks great. Give them a look.

There is so much going on now that the Olympics have completed. Pat Forde has an article to read on Memphis Tigers. Ed Graney has one on Stanford. Gregg Doyal has one on Virgina Cavaliers. Dan Wetzel has one on the surging Oregon Ducks. Wisconsin Badgers earn the number one seed in the Big Ten Conference Tournament. And a great story on the Kansas Jayhawks by Brian Ault. It talks about the previous years the Jayhawks have left the tournament in a hurry.

2.28.2002 | moved to new hosting company
Finally, 24 to 48 hours later and I'm back online! I switched hosting companies Sunday evening and it took forever to get my cable company to update their MX records. At last I'm up and running again.

Let's see whats happened in the past few days. All the polls are updated as I'm sure you've seen them already. Fairly the same, however Oklahoma is still sneaking up in the rankings. Look back to my Feb 20 update, I said to keep an eye the Sooners. Ahem! Could they sneak into a number one seed?

Jeff Sagarin's College Basketball Ratings are updated. So are Mike Greenfields Power Rankings, Ryan McGhee has his own Top 25 updated.

The conference tournaments start today. Read Andy Katz, ESPN.com's article on who to watch for. He has another great read on what games to watch this week. My game to watch is Saturday when the Minnesota Gophers, who beat Northwestern Wednesday, face up with Illinois who could win the Big Ten title, or a share of it. Four teams in the Big Ten have almost the same record. If the Gophers have any shot at making the March Tournament they must win.

If you find yourself wanting to kill some time, try playing this snake game, it's very addictive. This game from Sega Enterprises, Inc....it cannot be for real. Then again, anything to make a buck. Next time your in an argument with your other half, be sure to have one of these around the house. LOL! Or you could have these people do your dirty work, your choice. Finally, this one took me a while to find it. Look hard, you'll find it.
2.25.2002 | latest AP poll
Not too many upsets over the weekend. The new AP poll is pretty much the same as last week for the top ten. First seven teams reamain the same and the 8,9,10 spots move around. Stanford dropped the most with their loss to UCLA.

Kent Gilley has redesigned his Teams On The Bubble page. Very nice layout with automatic bid watch and predicted bids.

For those of you with younger children, my 3 year old has been enjoying the Bob The Builder site. When my son gets into highschool, should he ever get suspended for this, what would you do? This guy cannot be married, no way, no how, not a chance! Here is a very interesting job, I didn't know you could make a career out of it.

2.24.2002 | conference tournament watch
Here is a great page for finding the 2002 Conference Tournaments. This site from sportsnetwork.com has a site for every conference and info on all of the tournaments. Lots of information! My personal favorite would be from sportsline.com. Their conference tournament brackets are based on current standings. A great tool for watching all the conference tourneys.

Who's in the bubble of the tournament? Frank Burlison's, FOXSports.com article lists seven teams who may or may not make the cut. Kansas, Maryland, Duke Are they the elite three teams in the country, John McManus, SportCentral.org writes a good column on them.

Here is a great site from USA Today. They have a webpage for almost every team in the country. List scores, stats, records, game breakdowns.

2.22.2002 | updated tournament picks
Updated tournament seeding projections from Tony Mejia, SportsLine.com with Duke, Maryland, Kansas, & Cincinnati leading the way. However, he left out my favorite team: Minnesota Gophers! True, they are a young learning team....look out for them next year.

Yeah yeah, all this talk about the top teams, what about the teams who make the tournament that are at the bottom? Well, RyanMcGee.com's article on the 16 seeds watch will give you more to watch for in the next few weeks.

To get back to the weather in Minnesota....it's such an odd year for us, weather wise, that it has only been below zero for a total of 2 hours the entire winter! We could go week at a time with the temperature below zero every night. Some days our high temp is negative reading. That could all change, our up comming forcast has a negative temperature reading for next Tuesday.

2.21.2002 | Minne*snow*ta
It's been hard to find this year, living in Minnesota....and it's odd saying this, but it's snowing! Around here we are on track for having the second warmest winter on record, so snow is something that is, for a lack of word, missing! It's been bare grass for about a month or so. This time of year, that is unheard of. It's usually 10 feet of snow at least and -20 below zero this time of year. Granted, the snow that has been falling for the last two days doesn't measure up to a quarter of an inch yet, but none the less it is snowing.

If your looking for more tournament predictions, you can give Ryan McGee's site a look. Jeff Sagarin's have been updated and it has some movement in the chart.

2.20.2002 | more polls to watch
The Mid-Major Top 25 has Gonzaga [24-3] at the top. The received all first place votes. Since they are ranked seventh in the AP & Coaches poll, it's hard to argue with it. Read the entire article on that poll for more details.

Keep your eye on Oklahoma Sooners. They have five wins against the top 25 teams and have a defeated some great teams on the road. Mike DeCourcy, SportingNews has a great read for you today. Could they be a number one seed?

I just found this site and I'll have to watch it for a few days to see what it's all about. From what it looks like, this guy posts what he is having for lunch and has photos for ya as well. I have to post this link because I have a friend that works at a nuclear power plant. I read some of it, it's VERY long, but interesting.

2.19.2002 | got the time
This has got to be the down right coolest clock I have ever seen. One could watch it for hours at a time. HaHa!!

Mike Greenfield's men's college Power Rankings has Duke with the top honors followed by Cincinnati. It could be that the BlueDevil's have played more top 25 teams. Think the Associated Press does a good job when it comes to their rankings? Read the article written by Mark Button, CNNSI.com and you'll change your tune.

I got a kick outta this site. I'm shaking my head as I type wondering why, but it's downright funny!

2.18.2002 | Maryland Defeats Duke
It took four tries on their home court, but Maryland finally defeated Duke. I watched most of the first half of the game, Maryland looked outstanding. Is it deserving of a number one seed, I dought they will get it. I'm sure that despite this loss by Duke, they still will get the top spot in the tournament. Hats of to Maryland you played a great game.

The new AP & Coaches Polls are now out with Kansas returning to the top of both lists.

Ron Buck, ESPN.com has a great article on strong cinderella teams that could make a good run at the end. Lastly, FinalFour.net posted their 2002 site layout. It looks pretty good, a lot easier than last years format. They have great stats and audio feeds during the games.

2.17.2002 | 25 More Days Until Tip-off
Selection Sunday is now 3 weeks away. Always the big question is who will make it, or who do you think will make it. Stewart Mandel, CNNSI.com has a great article that will get your attention. It lists who the locks are and who are "bubble teams". Tony Mejia, SportsLine.com breaks down each conference and list who's in or could be in, very informative.

Kent Gilly has a new site layout and is running an office pool once again, be sure to give his site a look over. I'll be adding more office pool sites when I find them. If you are running a pool site and want yours listed, drop me a line.

2.16.2002 | New Site Layout
Little bit more adjustments. Working on the site logo next.

Look for something different, check out Short Arm Guy's website out. It has some good humor, he posts all of the funny or interesting emails that he receives through out the weeks. Nope, not all of them are clean.

2.15.2002 | New Site Layout
Welcome to OfficePool64.com. Back once again for our 6th year. As always, the pool remains free to those who enter and we play for bragging rights. Our Top 10 winners from last year are posted in the left hand column. Congrats!

Site redesign is underway and will be completed shortly.....stay tuned.
